Human Resources Manager


Job Summary:

 The Human Resources Manager will be responsible for delivering and coordinating human resources activities and initiatives for Duraco’s manufacturing facilities. This individual will be responsible for owning the following HR functional areas: recruiting, employee relations, performance management, onboarding, policy implementation, and employment law and other employee related compliance. 



  • Provide the full range of HR support including employee relations, recruiting, compensation, and organizational design for Duraco manufacturing sites.
  • Provides support and guidance to management, and other staff when complex, specialized, and sensitive questions and issues arise; may be required to administer and execute routine tasks in delicate circumstances such as providing reasonable accommodations, investigating allegations of wrongdoing, and terminations.
  • Proactively coach operations leaders on organizational effectiveness, performance management, engagement and development topics including progressive discipline, reward and recognition, training, and workforce diversity.
  • Analyzes trends in compensation and benefits; researches and proposes competitive base and incentive pay programs to ensure the organization attracts and retains top talent
  • Maintains compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, and recommended best practices; reviews policies and practices to maintain compliance
  • Responds to employee inquiries regarding policies, procedures, and programs. Promotes understanding and compliance by all employees.
  • Develops and implements management training in the areas of interviewing, hiring, terminations, promotions, performance reviews, safety, and harassment. Responds to specific requests for training from management.
  • Assists in evaluation of reports, decisions, and results of department in relation to established goals. Recommends new approaches, policies and procedures to effect continual improvements in efficiency of the department and services performed


  • Applies excellent functional knowledge in utilizing multiple web-based systems for recruiting and onboarding, HRIS, time and attendance, leave management and more.
  • Working knowledge in all areas pertinent to the management of all HR functions including compensation, staffing, employee involvement, EEO/AAP, safety training and policy development.
  • Effective creative thinking to solving complex and significant problems in a collaborative fashion.
  • Must have effective counseling skills in areas of performance, conflict resolution and career development.
  • Ability to effectively communicate with all levels of employees. 
  •  Assumes significant role on committees and high profile projects, etc.

 Education and Experience

  • B.A. or B.S from an accredited university; advanced degree preferred
  • 7-10 years progressively responsible Human Resources experience required including Matrix based management
  • Experience working in a unionized manufacturing environment is preferred
  • Experienced with restructure, change management, M&A
  • Experience leading high-profile projects with defined objectives, timelines and expectations
  • Experience in HCM implementation

 Travel Requirements  

  • 25-50 % time traveling
