Duraco Flex Pack Undergoes Major Expansion and Operational Enhancements at St. Charles, IL Facility

St. Charles, IL - August 2025 - Duraco FlexPack is proud to announce a significant expansion and modernization of its St. Charles, IL facility, reinforcing its commitment to serving the growing needs of the flexible packaging and SQF/food service markets.

Following strategic investments and a renewed focus on operational excellence, the St. Charles site has undergone a comprehensive transformation. In August 2024, the facility restarted its coater operations with newly hired team leaders and operators, and successfully completed modifications to Coater 1—now fully capable of producing our market-leading Soft Touch film.

By Q2 2025, Duraco will be fully committed to flexible packaging production at St. Charles, with upgraded assets and new capabilities to coat and slit Soft Touch Matte and next-generation functional coatings. The facility now spans over 47,000 square feet and houses multiple production lines, offering customers enhanced capacity and convenience.

Key Q2 upgrades include:

• 24x5 production staffing to meet increasing demand
• Installation of slitter/rewinder systems
• Warehouse and distribution inventory enhancements
• Inline slitting capabilities
• SQF Certification to support food service packaging standards
• Coater 2 modifications, adding to Duraco’s robust portfolio of coater assets
